Reno Fongemie, 73, of Derry, NH, died Sunday, April 4, 2004 in his home. Mr. Fongemie was born in Frenchville, ME on December 17, 1930, a son of the late Joseph and Edith (Albert) Fongemie. He was a resident of Derry for over 50 years, formerly living in Frenchville. He was the owner and operator of Crystal Avenue Market in Derry for many years and was formerly employed by Klev-Bro Shoe Co. in Derry. He was most recently employed in maintenance for the Derry School System. He enjoyed early morning trips to Dunkin Donuts.
He is survived by his wife, Carole S. (Staunton) Fongemie of Derry, three sons, Mark Fongemie and his wife Linda of Connecticut, Jeffrey Fongemie and his wife JoAnn of North Conway, NH, Paul Fongemie of Derry, five grandchildren, one sister, Jackie Ouellette and her husband Paul of Sebastien, FL, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no calling hours. Following cremation a private graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Region 10 Community Support Services, Inc., 8 Commerce Drive, Unit 801, Atkinson, NH 03811. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry is handling the arrangements.
