NATICK: Natalie R. (Recchia) Littlefield, 96, died peacefully in the care and comfort of her daughters on Saturday evening, February 25, 2012 following a brief illness.
She was born in Sudbury on September 13, 1915 the daughter of the late Franklin P. Recchia and Mary Elizabeth (O’Brien) Recchia.
Natalie was a proud graduate of Wellesley High School and was employed for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. in Boston until 1940 when she married Henry B. Littlefield. Natalie was fortunate to have resided in her Natick home for 72 years until her passing.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Mary E. Littlefield of Natick and Holly F. Littlefield of Cape Neddick, ME. She is also survived by her favorite great nephew David Aldrich as well as many other nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late Henry B. Littlefield who died on March 25, 1986.
At the request of her family there will be no funeral home visitations.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at noon at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Rd (Off Rte 30), Wayland, Interment to follow in the Littlefield family lot in Lakeview CemeteryWayland.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that memorial gifts in Natalie’s memory be sent to the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, 10 Judith Road, Worcester, MA 01602 and would be appreciated.
