Margaret R. (Kronovitter) Albert, 91, of Litchfield, died peacefully on February 25, 2012 at Ridgewood Center in Bedford.
She was born in Bridgeport, CT on April 5, 1920 to John and Mary (Sirila) Kronovitter, who were originally from Abauj, Hungary.
She attended schools in Bridgeport and Fairfield, CT and later worked as a secretary for the State of Connecticut.
She married Adrien Albert, from Madawaska, ME, in 1946 and moved back to Bridgeport. They later moved to Concord and Schenectady, NY before settling in Litchfield in 1973.
Mrs. Albert was a volunteer at Catholic Medical Center for many years. She and her husband enjoyed dancing, especially square dancing. Both were longtime members of AARP. They celebrated 65 years of marriage in 2011.
She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Litchfield.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Allen Albert; two granddaughters and three great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Private burial is at Hillcrest Cemetery, Litchfield.
