Edna Kelley Oliver, 87, of Fitzgerald, died Sunday, February 26, 2012, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 28 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. J.W. Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Monday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Oliver was born January 16, 1925 in Stephens County, Georgia to the late Clinton and Ora Pitts Kelley. She lived in Fitzgerald for the past sixty years. Mrs. Oliver was a homemaker and a member of Englewood Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who loved flowers, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy & Pete Hardee of Brunswick and Louise & Robert Smith of Fitzgerald; 4 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; sisters, Hellon Hogan of Fitzgerald and Mary Brown of Juno, FL; brothers, Everett Kelley of Rebecca and Calvin Kelley of Cleveland, GA as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. “Shorty” Oliver and three brothers, Bill, Albert and Ray Kelley.
