Mrs. Jean I. (Riendeau) Weipert, of Taunton, died Saturday, February 25 in the Golden Living Center – Wedgemere, following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Gerherd Weipert. She was born 78 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Albert and Rosabelle (Gagne) Riendeau. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as an accountant for Alcatel Corp. in Hingham for 20 years. She was a member of the David F. Adams Post #611 Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. Jean enjoyed camping, sewing, and spending time with her dogs. She was a communicant of the former St. Jacques Parish in Taunton.
In addition to her husband, she leaves: 3 sons: Michael McGuire of Stoningham, Ma., Dennis McGuire of Bridgewater, and Jamie McGuire of Berkley; 1 daughter: Jeanie Monahan of Taunton; 1 brother: Robert Riendeau of West Virginia; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
