Jackie Robert Thomas, 71, of Clarksville, TN, died on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at his residence. He was born on October 30, 1940 in Clarksville, TN to Christine Roberts Thomas and the late Leslie Thomas.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 4 PM at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Jerry Shelton officiating. Visitation will be Monday, February 27, 2012 from 3-7 PM and Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 2 PM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Jackie was a plant manager at Smithfield Manufacturing Company. He was also a Vietnam veteran and member of the Corvettes of Clarksville.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Thomas of Clarksville, TN; his mother, Christine Roberts Thomas of Clarksville, TN; a daughter, Angela Thomas Miller of Clarksville, TN; a sister, Billie Thomas Perry of Clarksville, TN; a step-daughter, Lee Ann Price of Clarksville, TN; a step-son, Jerry Moore of Clarksville, TN; and three lovely granddaughters, Kristen Johnson, Madison Miller, and Jordan Sorro.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Smithfield, David Smithfield, Robert Austin, Steve Purviance, Mike Davenport, Ihle James, and David Duncan.
