Obituary

Marilyn J. Ryan, 64, of Danville, NH died Friday February 24, 2012 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. She was born in Lawrence, MA on May 31, 1947, the daughter of the late Leo W. and Rita T. (Gaudet) St. Jean. She had been a resident of Danville for the past ten years, formerly living in Chester, NH and Lawrence, MA. Marilyn was a graduate of Lawrence High School, class of 1965. She retired from Lucent Technologies in No. Andover, MA. Through her employment with Lucent, she volunteered with the Pioneers and also enjoyed clowning for the Special Olympics. Her interests included Nascar and gardening and time spent playing with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters, Rhonda J. Cassidy and her companion Paul Wilson of Weare, NH, Tracy J. Lockwood and her husband Ronald of Larkspur, CO, one son, John J. Holmes Jr. and his wife Patricia of Salem, NH, six grandchildren, Courtney, Michael, Brittany, Amanda, Brian and John III. She is also survived by four brothers, Richard, Raymond, Robert and Wayne St. Jean, one sister, Kathy Iskra and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, John J. Holmes, Sr. in 1997.
Calling hours were held on Thursday March 1st from 5 to 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral service was held Friday at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial followed in Great Hill Cemetery, Chester.
