Beatrice (Marshall) Rogers,87, of New Bedford died suddenly at home on Sunday February 19, 2012. She was the wife of the late George D. Rogers, Jr.
Born in New Bedford the daughter of the late Anthony L. and Sophie (Emery) Marshall, she lived in New Bedford for all of her life.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church.
Mrs. Rogers was formerly employed as an office worker at Universal Hat Company.
She was an avid Boston Red Sox and Celtics fan. She enjoyed making puzzles.
Survivors include three sons, Jeffrey Rogers and Brian Rogers, both of New Bedford, and George Rogers of Berkley Heights, New Jersey; a daughter, Donna Monteiga of Dartmouth; a brother, Robert Marshall of New Bedford; a sister Geraldine Perry of New Bedford; four grandchildren, Crystal, Katelin, Britney, and Isabella; and three great-grandchildren, Jorge, Jordan, and Christopher.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday March 2, 2012 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted.
