DOROTHY M' "DOTTIE" (MURPHY) RIZZOTTO, 91, of Hingham, died on Feb. 23rd, 2012. Dottie shared a deep, devoted love with her husband of more than 25 years, Antonio "Tony" Rizzotto, as well as a passion for dancing and evenings out socializing with their many good friends. Born in Everett, MA in June 1920 and a graduate of Jeremiah E. Burke High School in Dorchester, Dottie lived in South Boston and Dorchester for decades before moving to Hingham upon marrying her Tony. For many years, Dottie worked at jeweler Shreve, Crump & Low, later reminiscing about how she enjoyed being in the center of Boston each day. Dottie and Tony once attended dances multiple times each week and, in recent years, continued to find great pleasure in their favorite dance music. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, lighting up whenever she spoke of any of them. While keeping a trim figure, Dottie was also known for her sweet tooth, preferring dessert ("anything chocolate") to any other part of a meal through the end of her life. Dottie is survived by husband Tony; children Dorothy and husband Patrick; William and wife Christine; stepchildren; Edward, Richard and wife Lynn; David and wife Christine; plus six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her brother Frank. The services and interment were private.
