Hunter D. Overstreet, of South Boston, Virginia, a retired Scalemaster for USA Plywood, died Sunday, February 12, 2012. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Victry) Overstreet.
Born in Halifax Country, Virginia, he was a son of the late Jessie R. and Gracie (Crenshaw) Overstreet. He lived in South Boston for many years.
He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the American Legion, Post #8, South Boston, VA.
He is survived by his sons: First Favorite David H. Overstreet and his wife, Elizabeth Winfield and their son, Ephraim Overstreet, Howard K. Overstreet and his wife, Kathy and their son Corey Overstreet; his stepsons: Randy N. Meadows and his wife, Cherryl and his daughter, Crystal Meadows, Steve H. Meadows and his sons: Kinzie and Troy Meadows; his siblings: James Overstreet and his wife, Eleane and Charles T. Overstreet and his wife, Anna, Jessie Overstreet and his wife, Harriet and Hilda O. Daniel. He was the father in law of the late Claudia Meadows.
Graveside services were held on Sunday, February 19th in South Boston, Virginia. Donations in his memory may be made to South Boston Fire Company, 403 Broad Street, South Boston, Virginia 24592
