Anthony ‘Tony’ Kestigian, 89, of Old Spencer Rd., passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 in University of Mass/
Memorial Hospital, University Campus in Worcester.
Tony leaves behind two sisters; Helen Washburn of Burlington and Betty Kestigian of Southbridge, one brother; Michael Kestigian of Westford, Ct., many nieces and nephews, and his step-son, James Lynn of Dudley.
Tony was predeceased by two sisters; Agnes Williams and Lucy Kestigian and a brother, Arthur ‘Archie’ Kestigian.
He was born in Worcester a son of Vartan and Vartanoosh (Topalian) Kestigian and lived in Charlton for many years.
Tony served in the U.S. Army during WWII and served in the Pacific Theater , after that he entered the U.S.Air Force and served until he retired in 1982.
He later worked at American Optical Co. in Southbridge and was active in the company bowling league, and for many years had a space at the Retta Flea Market in Hubbardston.
He enjoyed painting houses and going to Foxwoods.
There are no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be Monday, February 27, 2012 at 10 AM with Military Honors in West Ridge Cemetery in Charlton.
The Robert J. Miller-Charlton Funeral Home, 175 Old Worcester Rd., is assisting Tony’s family with arrangements.
