Anthony J. "Tony" Lampasona, Sr., 62, of Franklin, died suddenly, Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida shortly after his arrival. He was the husband of Jeanne M. (Sannicandro) Lampasona.
Born August 16, 1949 in Natick, a son of the late Patsy and Margaret (Bravo) Lampasona, he was a lifelong resident of Franklin.
He was raised and educated in Franklin, and was a 1968 graduate of Franklin High School. He was the owner and operator of Blackstone Valley Concrete, a company that began in 1972. He also worked with his son and nephew at Lampasona Concrete Company in Franklin.
Mr. Lampasona enjoyed boating, time spent on Cape Cod, NASCAR, football, and being around his family and friends.
He was a member of the St. Anthony & Columbus Benevolent Society of Franklin, and the Moose Club of Yarmouth, Ma.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sons; Anthony J. Lampasona, Jr. and his wife Margaret of Franklin, and Ryan J. Lampasona of Franklin. He was the father of the late Todd W. Lampasona.
Also surviving are his grandchildren; Vincent T., Angelo T., & Rocco T. Lampasona.
He leaves two brothers; Patrick F. Lampasona & Billy Lampasona both of Franklin, and his nieces and nephews; P.J., Pam, Paula, Maria, Billy Jr., and Nick Lampasona.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Saturday, February 25th, at 9:00AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin, www.oterifuneralhome.com, with a funeral Mass in St., Mary’s Church, 1 Church Sq., at 10AM.
Burial will follow at the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
