Sr. Francoise M. Rondeau 84 died Monday February 20, 2012 at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.
Sister was born in Newport Center, VT, May 22 1927, the 8th child of Joseph and Evelina (Leblanc) Rondeau. Sr. received her elementary education in No. Troy, VT and attended one year of high school. In February of 1949, she entered the Presentation of Mary Sisters’ Novitiate in Hudson, NH and after 2 ½ years of preparation pronounced her religious vows. She was later sent to serve various house of Congregation in Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts. She became an outstanding “Cordon Bleu” during her years at Marie Joseph Spiritual Center in Biddeford, ME. She is remembered for her very special goodies. Her gentle and loving disposition touched the hearts of all whom she encountered, and will be fondly remembered by seminarians, priest and by all her PM Sisters and helpers.
She is survived by three brothers, George, Bernard and Paul Rondeau; two sisters, Noella and Sr. Lucienne Rondeau of the Presentation of Mary in Methuen and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 2:00p.m. – 4;00p.m. and 6;00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Presentation of Mary in Methuen, MA. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 2:30p.m. in the Chapel of the Presentation of Mary, with burial to follow. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc
