Donald G. “Donnie” Hoffman, 53, of Fitzgerald, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Life Care Center.

Mr. Hoffman was born July 23, 1958 in Lowndes County to the late Wanda Laverne Nicholson Donhue and was raised by his grandmother, Daisy L. Davis. He moved to Fitzgerald in 2005 from Valdosta. Mr. Hoffman was a carpenter and plumber and enjoyed Science Fiction and Woodworking. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Denise L. Hoffman; children, Garrett Ryan Hoffman and Hannah M. Tobias, all of Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Joshua, James, Layla, Austin and Ashton; sister, Kathy (Jesse) Davis of Fitzgerald. He was preceded in death by a son, Dustin Ryan Hoffman.
