WESTON: Emily Kentley, 98, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 following a period of declining health.
She was born in Boston on December 5, 1913 the daughter of the late Hugh Kentley and Emily (Culley) Kentley.
Emily is survived by her nephew Hugh J. Kentley and his wife Deirdre Kentley of Medway, her niece, Pamela H. Kentley of Salem and her sister-in-law Helen B. Kentley of Westborough. She was the sister of the late Margaret Kentley who died in August of 2005 and S. James Kentley who died in February of 1994.
Emily spent her earlier years in Wayland and graduated from Wayland High School. She has been a resident of Weston for many years and for the past 15 years at Norumbega Point. She was associated with the Kreider Creveling Shoe Company as a bookkeeper before her retirement. Emily was a member of the Massachusetts Audubon Society and the Appalachian Mountain Club. She was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed by them.
At the request of her family private funeral services were held followed by interment in the Kentley family lot in North Cemetery in Wayland.
