Flynn, Gladys M. (Roberts) 85, of Marshfield February 15 at home, wife of the late Robert C. Flynn. She leaves her sons Timothy Flynn of Marshfield, James Flynn of St. Petersburg, FL, her daughters Pamela Johnson of Marshfield and Kathleen Randall of Wareham. She also leaves 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Sister of the late David Roberts.
Gladys was born in Moose River Nova Scotia the daughter of Everett and Gladys (Duffy) Roberts. She came to this country as a young girl and grew up in Boston graduating from Jamaica Plain High School. She trained to be a Laboratory Technician and worked as such at Boston City Hospital and Faulkner Hospital, prior to meeting and marrying her husband Robert Flynn and raising her family.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on March 31 at St Christine’s Parish 1295 Main St. (Rte 3A) in Marshfield. Burial will be private at the Massachusetts National Cemetery Bourne, MA In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Hospice of the South Shore, 100 Bay State Drive, Braintree, MA 02185, or to Catholic Relief Services, P.O. Box 17090, Baltimore, MD 21203-7090
