Ivo I. Novak, 83, of Roger Williams Drive, Johnston, died Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Home & Hospice Care of RI Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the husband of Marica (Manojlovic) Novak.
Born in Zagber, Croatia, he was a son of the late Michael and Maria (Novak) Novak. He had lived in Johnston since 1978 and had previously lived in Buffalo, NY and Pittsburg, PA.
Mr. Novak had worked at the Providence Journal as a photo engraver before retiring.
He was a member of the Smithfield YMCA. He was an avid tennis player and enjoyed skiing and world travel. He loved all animals, especially dogs.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his cousins: Luka, Monica, Valeika, Milan, Natasha and Rok, all of Slovenija; his brothers and sisters in law: Branka, Boris and Zoran all of France and Slobodan and Sasa of Bosnia and his beloved dog, Miki.
His Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday at Noon in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial private. Calling hours respectfully omitted.
