LUCAS Joseph W. age 89, of Hull formerly of West Roxbury, Feb. 17, 2012. Beloved husband of Virginia (Shack) to whom he was married for 69 years. Devoted father of Virginia (Mickie) Sullivan and her husband John of Harwich, Joseph W. Jr. of Hanover and his fiancé Ann LaLine, Nancy Chuilli and her husband Peter of Marshfield and Mark of Hull and his fiancé Diana Conway. Joseph was also very proud of his eight grandchildren, John Sullivan Jr. and his wife Ann of East Harwich, Brian Sullivan and his wife Catherine of Marshfield, Christi Richards and her husband Michael of Woburn, David Lucas of Hanover, Matthew Lucas and his wife Lisa of Whitman, Peter, Stephen and Kevin Chuilli of Marshfield as well as ten great grandchildren. Son of the late Joseph and Gladys (Midgely) Lucas. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY, Tuesday, Feb. 21st. at 8:45am. followed by a Funeral Mass in the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Mission Church) at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours Monday 4-8pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. U.S. Army Veteran WWII. Graduate of Northeastern University and worked as a Mechanical Engineer for the U.S. Government. Member of the Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
