BROOKFIELD - Marian J. (Sadowski) LeBlond, 91, formerly of Thompson Road, Webster, died Thursday, February 16, 2012 in Radius Healthcare, Southbridge after a period of declining health. Her husband of 63 years, Leonard J. LeBlond, died in 2009.
She leaves a son, Gary A. LeBlond and his wife Kristen of Brookfield; a grandson, Jeremy G. LeBlond of Rogers, CT; a great granddaughter, Jay-Lyn LeBlond, also of
Rogers, CT; a step-granddaughter, Emily Canavan of Brookfield; 3 sisters, Elizabeth Anger of Worcester, Dorothy Turgeon of Millbury and Christine Stockmal of Three Rivers; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother and 3 sisters.
She was born in Paxton and raised in Worcester, a daughter of Alexander and Sophie (Wachal) Sadowski, and lived in in Webster from 1946 to 1999. She moved to her son’s home 12 years ago. She graduated from Fanning Girls Trade School in Worcester.
Mrs. LeBlond worked at US Steel in Worcester and then as an inspector at the Webster Lens Company for many years. She also worked as a hair dresser part-time. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Webster for over 50 years.
A graveside service will be held at noon on Monday, February 27, in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Webster. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Mass. Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472. Arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster.
