Obituary

David A. Rousseau, 63, of Manchester died February 16, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Manchester on May 9, 1948, the son of Roger and Barbara (Philbrick) Rousseau and had resided in Manchester for all of his life.

He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War prior to his honorable discharge in 1970.

He was educated in the local school system and graduated from Manchester West High School. He later earned his degree and master electrician certification from the New Hampshire Community Technical College in Manchester.

David enjoyed fishing, gardening and socializing with his friends and neighbors. He also enjoyed following the stock market and loved watching all Boston sports teams, especially the New England Patriots.


Members of his family include his wife of 39 years Cynthia (Pratte) Rousseau of Manchester; two sons, Joshua D. Rousseau of Manchester and his companion Emma Dann of Scarborough Me; Adam A. Rousseau and his wife Sarah of Manchester; two brothers, Kenneth P. Rousseau of Bedford and Thomas R. Rousseau of New Boston; two sisters, Debra J. Plantier of Manchester and Nancy B. Piecuch of Gilford; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, February 20, 2012 in St. Pius X Church, 575 Candia Road. Burial with military honors took place on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
