Naomi (Harrington) Ferguson, a resident of Medford for more than 50 years and beloved wife of the late Charles A. Ferguson, III, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was the cherished mother of Kathryn A. Ferguson of Medford, Dr. Marie F. Haley and her husband Peter of Winchester, Joseph C. Ferguson and his wife Deborah Olander of Andover, John R. Ferguson and his wife Dianne of Reading, Edward N. Ferguson and his wife Monica and James A. Ferguson and his wife Sara of Winchester. Loving sister of Cornelia Toffolo and her late husband Luigi of Wilton CT, Monica McCaffetty and her husband John of Cambridge and Maureen DeCloux and her late husband Richard of Manchester, NH. Adoring grandmother of Kathryn E. Haley, Ryan O. Ferguson, Molly H. Haley, Taryn O. Ferguson, Sarah A. Ferguson, Claire C. Ferguson, Kyle C. Ferguson, Erin M. Ferguson Christopher C. Ferguson, Eric C. Ferguson and Mikayla J. Ferguson. She is also survived by numerous relatives throughout the USA, Ireland and Australia. Naomi was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Cambridge and was a life member of the Thursday Fortnightly Club of Medford. She was Assistant to the Director of the Winchester Public Library for 25 years.
Her funeral was from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Saturday, February 18, 2012, at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford at 10 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Visiting hours were held on Friday, February 17, 2012, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment was in Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
