George Oliver, 60, of Fall River died February 12, 2012 at Charlton Hospital from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late William and Mary J. (Amorim) Oliver, he lived in New Bedford before moving to Fall River 20 years ago.
He was a communicant of St. Anne's Church in Fall River.
Mr. Oliver was employed as a machinist at Huestis Machine Corp. in Bristol, RI for 23 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his brother, Manuel Oliver of Dartmouth; 6 sisters, Mary Jo Rogers of Manhatten, KS, Christina Gonsalves of Florida, Stella Medeiros, Rose Mary Sousa, Carolyn Oliver and Doris Oliver, all of New Bedford; 2 aunts, Marion Oliver of New Bedford and Mary Melo of Dartmouth; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was the brother of the late William Oliver, Jr.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Saturday, February 18th at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Anne's Church 818 Middle St. Fall River at 10 AM.
