Darren M. Kavgic, age 29, of Dartmouth, formerly of Taunton, died unexpectedly February 10, 2012 in Milford. He was the husband of Laurie Cabral-Kavgic. Born in Brockton he was the son of George and Linda (Picanzo) Kavgic of West Wareham. Darren was raised and educated in East Taunton. While a student of Taunton High School, he played varsity football and hockey and after moving to Wareham, graduated from Wareham High School in 2000. Darren was a lifelong athlete and played for many championship teams during his years playing on Taunton Pop Warner Football, East Taunton Little League Baseball and Tri County Saints Hockey. He enjoyed fishing for Blue Fin Tuna and Stripers; riding his dirt bike and was an avid Bruins and Patriots fan. Darren was known for his great sense of humor, giving personality and work ethic. At the time of his death he worked for RDI Logistics of Easton where he had been employed since graduating from high school. He was a member of the Hope Evangelical Community Church Men’s Bible Study Group in Dartmouth.
In addition to his wife and parents, Darren is survived by two daughters, Hailey C. and Tatianna L. Kavgic, a step son Andrew K. Bourguignon; his twin brother Donald J. Kavgic, brother Ralph J. Larkin, sister Daniella M. Kavgic; grandmother Mary Kavgic and nieces. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was the grandson of the late James and Arlene Picanzo and the late Phillip Kavgic.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday 4-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 10am.
