TAUNTON – Norma J. (DeMoura) Nunes, wife of the late Gilbert Nunes, died at Life Care Center of Raynham on Feb. 10, 2012.
She was 80 years old.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Antone and Mary (Sylvia) DeMoura.
Raised and educated in Taunton, she was a 1949 graduate of Taunton High School.
She moved to Raynham two years ago.
Mrs. Nunes was employed as a secretary for the Mass. D.M.R. for many years before retiring in 2002, and was a communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church.
She leaves two daughters, Carol A. Nunes of Palmetto, FL, and Karen M. Ladetto and her husband Scott of Taunton; a son, William G. Nunes of St. Petersburg, FL; a brother, Robert DeMoura and his wife Kathleen of Taunton; two grandchildren, Brandyn Ladetto and Kayla Nunes; and an aunt.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Tuesday, Feb. 14th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10 a.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Feb. 13th, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Burial will be private at the MA National VA Cemetery in Bourne.
