Obituary

Malfalda (Tarantino) Imbrogno, 85, of Smithfield, RI formerly of Midland Park, NJ passed away peacefully after a long illness on February 9, 2012 at North Bay Retirement Living. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Imbrogno in 2005.

She is survived by her loving sister, Adeline Biggs of Smithfield, RI, formerly of Whiting, NJ, her loving niece Debra Kline and her husband, Richard of Smithfield, RI, formerly of Wyckoff, NJ, great nephews: Keith Kline and his wife, Lisa and their children: Hannah, Olivia and Joshua and Kevin Kline and his husband, David Foucher and several nieces and nephews.

During her lifetime, Mrs. Imbrogno lovingly crocheted afghans for friends and relatives. Since moving to Rhode Island, she became a “blanketeer” for a national organization called Project Linus, which provides handmade afghans for children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need of love, security and comfort. She put tremendous amounts of caring and love into each one.

Mrs. Imbrogno was one of the original members of the Church of Nativity in Midland Park, NJ and her funeral mass will be said from that church: Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect St. Midland Park, NJ Tuesday at 9:30am. Interment will be at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ. Visitation Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm in the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ.
