Derry, New Hampshire – Francis “Frank” R. Frechette, 75, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the Parkland Medical Center.
Born in Lawrence, MA on November 23, 1936, Frank was the son of Albert and Alice (Dubois) Frechette and was lovingly raised by his grandmother Mary Ann Frechette. Frank was also a 1955 graduate of Central Catholic High School.
For more than 25 years, Frank proudly served the City of Lawrence as the Sealer of Weights and Measures before he retired in 2002. Frank was also a well known and enthusiastic bartender at the Lawrence Elks for over 30 years.
For more than 34 years, Frank was the loving and devoted best friend and husband of Ann M. (Desjardins) Frechette. Frank was the heart of the Frechette family and offered unending support, devotion and love to his children: Dennis Frechette and his wife Tammi, Michael Frechette, Kathy Frechette and her boyfriend Robert Schiller, Melissa Frechette, Shauna Frechette and her fiancé Mark Andrade, Shari Frechette and her fiancé T.J. Sullivan; and to his two granddaughters: Sarah Dumont and fiancé Moe Rolon, and Taylor McNeil. Frank Frechette will also be sadly missed by his brother Russell Frechette, mother-in-law Linda Desjardins and his several nieces and nephews.
Frank was predeceased by his brother Ronald Frechette, Sr.
Frank lit up every room he walked into and was always the life of the party. His heart of gold touched many and his unending love and warmth was felt by all who knew him. His magnetic personality captivated everyone around him and will keep his memory alive for us all.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Monday morning at 9 o’clock in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/ Saint Theresa Church 22 Plymouth Street Methuen, Massachusetts with burial to follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends will be warmly received on Sunday from 2:00-6:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
