Rita A. Kimball, 87, of Derry, NH, died Wednesday February 8, 2012 in the Parkland Medical Center in Derry. She was born in Cambridge, MA on September 18, 1924, a daughter of the late Thomas and Alice (Waite) O'Neil. Rita was a resident of Derry for many years, where she was a devout member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Prior to moving to Derry, she resided in Winchester, MA where she lived with her husband Jack, and their family.
She is survived by three sons, Jack Kimball, Jr. and his wife Donna Marie of Dover, NH, Paul M. Kimball and Thomas J. Kimball both of Derry; one daughter, Mary Ann Kimball of Derry; her granddaughter, Tammy Adams who called her every day for the last 14 years; as well as many other grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Jack W. Kimball in 1998.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, February 12th from 2 - 6pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday at 11:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry. The burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Gilcreast Road, Londonderry, NH.
