EASTHAMPTON-Philip X. Reid, 63, of Easthampton formerly of Worcester died Monday, February 6th at his home in the Treehouse Community. He leaves his son Liam J. Jette and his wife, Amanda M. of Hudson; a brother, John E. Reid and his wife, Patty of Winchester; two sisters, Paula R. Grenier and her husband, Robert L. of Arlington, VA and Patricia Bews and her husband, Michael G. of Salida, CO and a niece and several nephews.
He was born in Worcester and grew up in Paxton, the son of John M. and Helen G. (Early) Reid. Mr. Reid attended St. John’s High School and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School. He attended Fitchburg State College. He enjoyed a lifelong pursuit of spiritual studies. Philip completed his certification in Addiction Counseling Education at Westfield State College. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was an avid sailor. Philip owned and operated Park Ave Realty for many years.
Philip will always be remembered for his playfulness, zest for life, his big heart and his desire to save the world.
Calling hours are Saturday, February 11th from 2:00 until 4:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a memorial liturgy to follow at 4:30 PM in Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster Street, Worcester.
