Obituary

BEVERLY: Victor A. Tamilio, 66, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a courageous five-year battle with cancer. He was the husband of Roberta A. (Cleary) Tamilio.
A resident of Beverly for more than 30 years, Victor was born in Salem on May 8, 1945, ninth child of John and Mary (Fillacio) Tamilio of Huborn Street in Salem. He worked for more than thirty-two years at the General Electric Company's Aircraft Division in Lynn.
He was a loving and thoughtful husband and father who cared deeply about his family and friends. Passionate about life, Victor was constantly exploring new hobbies and activities, but always enjoyed fishing, boating, kayaking, and any opportunity to enjoy the river. He will be remembered for his irresistible warmth, kindness, sincerity, selflessness, and the joy and laughter he brought to those he loved.
In addition to his wife of forty two years, he is survived by his son, Brenden A. Tamilio of Beverly and his fiancée, Tiffany DeCoff; his brother, John Tamilio and his wife, Marion of Beverly; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Rachel Cross and her husband, Donald of Danvers, Florence Agrella of Beverly and Antoinette Pacelli of Cambridge, and more than forty nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by four brothers, Louis, Robert, James, and Anthony Tamilio.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 10th from 4-8 PM in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot Street, Beverly. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. His funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 AM. A reception will follow at the Vittori-Rocci Post, Brimbal Ave, Beverly. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan Street Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
