Diane Harper Jewell, 53, of the Holt community in Irwin County died Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at her residence.
Services will be private.
Mrs. Jewell was born March 15, 1958 in Ocilla to Tommie Vickers Harper and the late Lacey C. Harper. She was a homemaker and lived in Irwin County most of her life. Mrs. Jewell enjoyed reading, needle point and working with crafts. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her mother, Tommie Vickers Harper of the Holt community in Irwin County; children, Wendy M. Harper of Douglas, Jody Jewell of Ocilla and Ashley Jewell of Fitzgerald; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Beverly & Chip Thompson of Fitzgerald, Charlene Harper of the Holt community, Rhonda & W.L. Timmons of Ashburn and Lisa & Paul Brigmond of Douglas as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Jewell and three brothers, Allen, Darrell and Larry Harper.
