MILDRED AILEEN (CORLEY) FLOWERS, 96, went to be with her Heavenly Father, Tuesday, February 7, 2012.
Aileen retired from the old Kresges Dollar Store and the National Kidney Foundation of KY. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, John “Buck” Flowers.
She is survived by her sons, Bill Flowers and Jim Flowers (Pat); two grandchildren, Kenny Flowers (Angela) and Tresa Cornell (Chuck); five great grandchildren, Ashley, Courtney (Jake), Matthew, Lily and Chloe; three great great grandchildren, Aydin, Caleb and Kendra; many nieces and nephews; and many special friends who loved and cared for her.
A special thanks to all who care for her at the Good Samaritan Center in Jeffersontown.
Her funeral service will be 11am Friday at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 2-7pm at the funeral home.
