Obituary

Frances V. (Pagano) Sansone, 79, of Whitman died Monday February 6th at home surrounded by her family, after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Sansone.

Born and raised in Dorchester, Frances was always active in her parish community. After graduating high school, Frances went to work for E.F. Hutton as a clerical worker. This job certainly taught her at a young age how to “Pinch a Penny”.

Frances married Joseph Sansone in 1959 and then shortly moved to the South Shore, raising a family and enjoying their new home.

The two enjoyed gardening and meeting many lifelong friends in the community.

Frances was a devoted parishioner of the Holy Ghost Church, where she devoted her time volunteering with the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality. One of her favorite experiences within the group was, Grateful Grannies, where they shared their passion to help others, mixed with stories and laughter.Frances also volunteered at the St. Francis Thrift Shop.

She was a wonderful devoted mother, wife and grandmother. She was also a well-loved aunt and cousin to many. Cooking delicious meals for friends and family was a joy for her. Frances will always be dearly remembered with a smile lighting her face and forever living in our hearts

She enjoyed crafts and knitting.


She is survived by her two daughters, Dolores Sansone of Whitman and Joanne Delmonico and her husband David of Plymouth: also grandmother of Anthony Delmonico of West Springfield and Angela Delmonico of CT., sister of Dolores Young of Buckley, WA; also many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Anne F. Sansone and sister of the late Dorothy Kazimer, Angelina Kosloski, John Battistone and Madeleine McCarty.

Her Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 11th at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St.( RT58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church, MA. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Whitman, MA. Visitation will be held on Friday February 10th from 4:00-8:00PM.Donations may be made in her name to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, C/O Holy Ghost Church, Washington St., Whitman, MA 02382.
