North Andover, MA – JoAnn R. (Clarke) Wain, 81 died February 6, 2012 at the Sutton Hill Center surrounded by her family.
JoAnn was born January 14, 1931 the daughter of Patrick and Helen (Owens) Clarke in Duluth Minnesota and graduated from Denfeld High School.
A longtime Methuen resident she was formerly employed as a secretary for DeAngelis Insurance Company in Methuen and for 10 years as a volunteer at the Lawrence General Hospital.
Mrs. Wain had been an active communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish.
JoAnn was very active in the Methuen Senior Citizens Center.
The widow of David A. Wain survivors include her children; James and his wife Marie Wain of Methuen, Sandra Dufresne of Salem, NH, and Joseph Wain, 6 grandchildren, 8 greatgrandchildren, and two sisters Pat Archer of Denver, Colorado, and Helen Ann Clark of California as well as several nieces and nephews.
JoAnn was predeceased by her son John M. Wain.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday morning at 10 o’clock in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish / St. Augustine Chapel of Lawrence, Ma. with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery Methuen, Ma.
Friends will be warmly received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
