Rousseau, Wilfred J., 79, of Log Road, died Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary E. (Leofanti) Rousseau.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Wilfred O. Rousseau and Christina R. (Mondor) Chadwick. He had lived in Smithfield for many years.
Mr. Rousseau was a graduate of Assumption High School and Bryant College and was a traffic manager for for CVS and Engineered Yarn before retiring. He was a member of the Smithfield Sr. Center. He was an avid Red Sox fan.
He is survived by his children: William Rousseau of Charlottesville, NC, Bryan Rousseau and his wife, Dayle of Singer Island, FL, Charles Duefrene, Dawn Duefrene Ferraro and Dean Duefrene, all of Smithfield, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and his siblings: Roland Rousseau and his wife, Rose of Palm Beach, FL and George Chadwick and his wife, Pat of Pawtucket. He was the father of the late Paul Rousseau.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:45 AM from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Georgiaville, RI. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visitation respectfully omitted.
