Reading MA – Stephen P. Kenary, 54 of Reading passed away Sunday, February 5th in his home. He leaves his mother, Patricia A. (Dillon) Kenary of Worcester; two brothers James F. Kenary of Holden and Robert J. Kenary of Worcester; 5 sisters, Donna P. Perry of Holden, Diane M. Harizi of Worcester, Nancy J. Wong of Maui, Hawaii, Barbara A. McGurn and Joan M. Greenhalgh of Worcester as well as several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Stephen was predeceased by his father, the late Robert F. Kenary of Worcester.
Mr. Kenary was born in Worcester and attended St. Peter’s High School where he played hockey and baseball for the Guardians. Upon graduation from Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester he worked for over 25 years as a nuclear medicine and radiological technologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and was the manager of the Orthopedic and Trauma facilities.
Stephen enjoyed scuba diving, sports cars, and professional sports. He made many trips to Florida and the Bahamas to dive, owned a number of Corvettes, and closely followed the Patriots, Bruins, and Yankees. Stephen’s fun loving nature, outgoing personality, and cheerfulness will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
In accordance with the Stephen’s wishes, the funeral service and burial will be private. To carry on Stephen’s legacy of generosity, donations may be made to The Stork Fund at Brigham and Women’s Hospital Boston MA.
