Theresa Shirley (Vaillancourt) O'Dea, 81, of Mattapoisett died February 7, 2012 at Sippican Healthcare Center.
She was the wife of the late Martin E. O'Dea.
Born in Lowell, the daughter of the late Eugene J. and Sarah (McClellan) Vaillancourt, she lived in Lowell before moving to Wareham in 1991 and then to Mattapoisett in 2004.
Mrs. O'Dea was formerly employed as a nurses aide.
She enjoyed the company of her dog Budda and cat Lucky, enjoyed playing Bingo and loved her computer. Mrs. O'Dea was a member of the Emblem Club #99 of Wareham for many years.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews including Diane Knight and her husband Peter of Mattapoisett, and their children Robert Knight and his wife Kristen of Billerica, Cheryl Knight of New Bedford and Michael Knight of Fairhaven; and a great-grandnephew, Liam Robert Philips.
She was the sister of the late Josephine Proulx, Rose McGadden, Jeanette Carr and Vivian Dureault.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett Friday, February 10th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church, Mattapoisett at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in North Tewksbury. Visiting hours Thursday, February 9th from 4-7 PM.
