Gilbert T. Nord, 76, left this precious world Monday, February 6, 2012 at Park Terrace Rehab Center.
He was born in Louisville, KY to Edwin Michael & Bernadine (Amshoff) Nord.
He was a 1953 graduate of Flaget High School and a 1991 Hall of Fame inductee to the Kentucky Football Officials Association.
Survivors inlcude his loving & devoted Wife of 56 years: Betty Nord; 4 Sons: Greg T.(Donna), Gary M.(Kathy), Brad J.(Lesley), and Glenn E. Nord(Lynn); Daughters-In-Law: Carol & Julita Nord; 11 Grandchildren: Amy, Angie, Colleen, Christi, Nicole, Jessica, Nathan, Matthew, Evan, Adam, & Jacob; 6 Great Grandchildren: Luke, Nolan, Gregory, Elizabeth, Caden, & Colin; 2 Brothers: Bill & Bert Nord; 1 Sister: Ruth Thorpe (Kenny).
The Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 1020 E. Burnett Ave. Visitation will be Wednesday 1 - 8 PM at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
