David Thomas French, 73, died suddenly on February 4, 2012 at the Elliot Hospital.
He was born on February 20, 1938 in Manchester and was the son of Benjamin R. and Ann Theresa (Finn) French.
He attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help grammar school and later Bishop Bradley High School.
Until his retirement, David had worked at Velcro, USA for 17 years.
In his early days he was an avid skier. He enjoyed traveling and playing golf in NH and in Florida.
David was a lifetime member of the Alpine Club where he enjoyed pitching horse shoes on the team.
Members of his family include his wife of 48 years Priscilla (Gagne) French of Goffstown; two sons, Timothy Robert French of Arvada, CO and Patrick Donald French and his wife Kimberly of Newton, NH; four grandchildren, Corey, Benjamin, Meagan French and Joshua Gleason; a brother, Dana French and his wife Mary Ann of Litchfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Beverly Murray and Dorothy Bishop and one brother, Robert French.
A memorial service took place on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm Street, corner of North Street, Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later time.
