Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Bruce D. Reardon, 49, of Fenley Road died unexpectedly on Friday, February 3, 2012 at his home.
Born in Gloucester on July 28, 1962, he was the son of Phyllis M. (Susanno) and Ronald M. Reardon, Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and a graduate of the Gloucester High School class of 1981.
Bruce was employed in the printing industry as a die cutter for Tadco for twenty years as well as various other print shops on Cape Ann.
He was a former member of the Gloucester Lodge of Elks No. 892 and the Doucette-Linguard V.F.W. Post #1624 of Gloucester. An avid New England sports fan, he enjoyed playing in the fantasy leagues. He also found contentment in the outdoors, camping and fishing.
Bruce was a kind, outgoing person, who would go out of his way to help someone in need. A loving and devoted father, son and brother, he cherished time spent with his family. His sense of humor and smile will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sons, Evan A. Reardon and Sean J. Reardon; three brothers, Ronald M. Reardon, Jr., companion of Sharon Psalidas, Edward L., husband of Jennifer Reardon, Robert K. Reardon, companion of Yvonne Carpenter; two aunts, Josephine Testaverde and Mary Beaster; two uncles, Lawrence Susanno, Jr. and Joseph Susanno, who is also Bruce’s godfather; a niece, Katie Marshall; four nephews, Adam, Erik, Kevin and Daniel Reardon; his former spouse, Joyce (Pelosi) Reardon, and her mother, Pauline (Catania) Pelosi as well as many cousins and dear friends. He was also predeceased by a very close cousin, Jerry MacDonald, III; maternal grandparents, Vincie and Lorenzo Susanno and paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Edward Reardon.
Services will be held privately in the Cherry Hill Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Reardon Family, c/o Cape Ann Savings Bank, 109 Main St., Gloucester, MA 01930 to be forwarded to a charity of their choice.
