Of Brockton Feb 4th, Wesner (58) died in the Tufts, NE Medical Center Boston after a period of failing health.
He was born in Croix des Bouquets, Haiti Son of the late Oge and Roseett (Francois) Laventure and came this country in 1981 coming from Haiti. Prior to becoming disabled he was a tax cab driver. Wesner enjoyed music and watching all sports.
Survivors include 3 Sons Edwen Fortune of Taunton, Garfield Laventure of Miami and Wesner Laventure Jr of Haiti. 1 Daughter Marie-Wesvarie Laventure of Haiti. 10 Brothers, Rosemond of RI, Lyonel, Romel, Ebel, Patrick Laventure all of NY, Jean-Claude, Dr Harry Laventure both of Haiti, Roosevelt, Leonidax, Peggy Laventure all of Boston. 11 Sisters, Marie Laventure-Pharaon, Lancy Cherduville both of Brockton, Marie-Yanick Lorquet of Taunton, Marie-Gerseylia, Carline Laventure both of Boston, Marie-Flore Normil, Evelyne Laventure both of Haiti, Gabrielle Laventure of NY, Altagrace and Lourdes Laventure both of NJ, Marie-Ange Laventure of Canada. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court St Brockton Saturday Feb 18th at 8 am followed by a Haitian Creole Mass in Christ the King Church, Brockton at 9 am.. Burial follow in Melrose Cemetery Brockton. Visitation Friday 17th from 6-9 pm.
