Dwight Tucker, 68, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Friday, February 3, 2012, in Irwin County.
Graveside services will be held at 4 PM Sunday, February 5, 2010 at Evergreen Cemetery with Elder Rabon Lord officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service.
Mr. Tucker was born November 13, 1943 in Ocilla, GA to the late Joe R. and Ione Cleghorn Tucker. Growing up in Irwin County, he was 1961 graduate of Irwin County High School. He was a farmer, as well as, a former employee of Fitzgerald Motor Company and Brown Ford. He attended Eureka Primitive Baptist Church. Mr. Tucker enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife JoAnn F.Tucker of Fitzgerald; Sons: Dewey S. Tucker of Fair Lawn, NJ and Chris Calvin Tucker of Irwinville, GA; Grandchildren: Katie Smith and Jake Tucker; Great-grand daughter, Emma Smith and brother and sister-in-law, LaDon and Vivien Tucker of Chula, GA. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother.
