Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Claire T. (Morin) Lannon, 66, of Holly Street and St. Petersburg, Florida died Sunday afternoon, January 29, 2012, in the St. Petersburg General Hospital following an extended illness with her family by her side. She was the wife of Edward T. Lannon, Jr.
Born in New Bedford on March 18, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Beatrice (Avery) Morin. She was a lifelong resident and had attended Gloucester public schools.
Employed as a certified nurse’s assistant, Claire had worked at several health care facilities and as a private duty caregiver. She was also a licensed hairdresser and had worked in the Dietary Department of Addison Gilbert Hospital. In the early 1980’s, she and Ed owned and operated the former Home Cookery Restaurant in Peabody.
She enjoyed bingo and trips to Foxwoods and Twin Rivers. Cruises and traveling were also a favorite pastime. She especially cherished the time she spent in Florida. A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she had a passion for taking care of people and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her husband of forty-six years, she is survived by her children, Edward T., III, husband of Pamela (Cotter) Lannon, Tina M., wife of Patrick Cavanaugh, Monique G. Cavanaugh, companion of Kevin MacFarland, and Scott M., husband of Eileen (Marsella) Lannon; ten grandchildren, Joshua, Dylan and Nicole Lannon, James and Aiden Cavanaugh, Austin, Allie and Amber Cavanaugh, Amanda and Brady Lannon; two sisters, Lorraine Williams and Lucille Morin; three brothers, Roger Morin, Ernest, husband of Phyllis Morin, and Roland, husband of Elizabeth Morin; two aunts, Dolora Hebert and Victoria Dumas. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and dear friends including, Gail Saunders, Jean Clark and Jean Bagalini. She was also predeceased by her baby sister, Annette Morin.
