Harold J. “Bubba” McCarty, Jr., 14, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, March 29, 2004, in Moultrie, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM, Thursday, April 1, 2004, at Crossview Baptist Church, Fitzgerald, with Rev. Greg Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 until 9:00 on Wednesday evening.
Bubba was born August 18, 1989, in Tampa, Florida. He was an eighth grade student at Ben Hill Middle School, a member of the 4H Club and the Middle School Chorus. Bubba was a member of Crossview Baptist Church.
Survivors include: Parents, Harold “Big Foot” & Karen McCarty, Fitzgerald; two sisters, Jacqueline Carol McCarty and Jessica Lynn McCarty Covington, both of Fitzgerald; grandparents, Vonerdell Coppedge, Plant City, FL, Robert & Geri Baldwin, Macon and Estelle McCarty, Cleburne, TX. Preceding him in death was his grandfather, Jessie James McCarty.
