John J. Livramento, 87, of New Bedford died February 2, 2012 unexpectedly at Massachusetts General Hospital.
He was the husband of the late Augusta "Aggie" (Monteiro) Livramento.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Joaquim and Anna J. (Silva) Livramento, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. Livramento was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
He was formerly employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for many years until his retirement. He was also a bartender at night.
Mr. Livramento served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He enjoyed watching Western movies and sports.
Survivors include a son, Phillip Livramento of New Bedford; a daughter, Bernice Livramento of New Bedford; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Dolores Clark and Dennis Livramento and the brother of the late Antoinette Foster, Louis Livramento and Michael Livramento.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Tuesday, February 7th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday, February 6th from 4-7 PM.
