HAMLET: Ms. Betty Jo Lammonds Goodyear, 56, of 984 Boyd Lake Road, Hamlet, died Monday, January 31, 2012 in her home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 3, in the Joy Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor June Grant and Rev. Frank McQuage officiating. Internment will follow in the Northam Cemetery Extension.
A lifelong resident of Richmond County, Jo was born on December 30, 1955, a daughter of Ruth Quick Lammonds Threadgill and the late Bill Lammonds. She was a Hab-tech working with persons with special needs. She attended Joy Free Will Baptist and had been a member of Maple Street Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Lammonds.
She is survived by a son, Jeff Lammonds of Hamlet; two brothers, Billy Lammonds and Billy Lammonds, Jr. both of Hamlet; two sisters, Wanda Lammonds Norton of Little River, SC, Roseanna Lammonds of Hamlet; and a grandson, Austin Lammonds.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8:00 PM at Joy Free Will Baptist Church and other times at the home.
