Francis J. Taddeo, 80 of Medford MA, died Monday after a brief illness in the Mt. Auburn Hospital, Cambridge, MA. Born in Medford, MA, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and the late Antoinette (Luongo) Taddeo. Mr. Taddeo was a life long resident of Medford. He worked for many years as a meat cutter and was the owner of Mitchell´s Market located in Magoun Square, Somerville. He was very active in the Medford community and was a one of the founders of South Medford´s Little League and was a also a Former member of the Medford School Committee.
Mr. Taddeo is predeceased by his wife Gina P. (DiGiandomenico) and two sons James F. and Robert J. Taddeo. He is survived by his daughter Jo-Ann Taddeo of Medford, two daughters-in-law Penny Taddeo of Medford and Cindy Taddeo of Gardner. Four grandchildren; Robert Taddeo and his wife Jennifer of Billerica, Michael Taddeo of Medford, Holly Castora and her husband Mickey of Texas, James taddeo and his wife Emma of Wales. Loving great grandfather of Calvin and Curtis Taddeo, Riley, Abby and Caroline Castora. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 AM in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford/Somerville with the service celebrated by Rev. James O'Driscoll. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4 thru 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
