Anne Walsh-McGonigle, age 47, beloved wife of James McGonigle and beloved mother of Shane Michael, Sean Patrick and Mikaela Anne, passed away on January 29th after a prolonged and courageous battle with breast cancer. Anne lived in Andover, Massachusetts, since 1988. She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Walsh. She is survived by her husband; James McGonigle, her children; Shane, Sean and Mikaela, her father; Michael Robert of Andover, sister; Mary Kate of Somerset, New Jersey, brother; Michael of Mount Vernon, New York, sister; Cathleen of Mansfield, sister; Colleen of Wilmington, Delaware and brother, Terrance of Methuen and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues.
She was from Staten Island, New York and graduated from Oneonta College with a degree in Business Economics. Anne worked for over twenty five years in Human Resources, most recently for Converse in North Andover. A track runner in high school, Anne was a lover of the outdoors and fitness. She was a caring soul with a great sense of humor and she loved spending time at home with her family and friends.
Calling hours were held at the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Thursday, February 2, 2012, from 4 to 8 PM. Her funeral mass was celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Friday, February 3, 2012, at 9 AM.
