Of Waltham, formerly of Boston, Metro West MA, Delta, CO, and Sheyenne ND. Robert D. Twamley passed away January 29th at the Maristhill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with his family by his side. Rob was born in Sheyenne ND 74 years ago to the late Archie and Edna (Moe) Twamley, the fourth of 5 children. He grew up with his parents owning/running the local café. A graduate of Sheyenne High School in ND class of 1955. Minot State Teachers College class of 1961 with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Correction, then a Master of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Moorehead State College in 1968. He moved to Massachusetts where he practiced his trade. Rob is survived by his children Michael Twamley and his wife Amanda of Delta, CO; Sara(Twamley) Dale and her husband Randy of Natick, MA; Lisa (Twamley) Doerr and her husband Tom of Berlin, MA; and Guy Twamley and his wife Tracey of Medway MA. Loving Brother of Mary June (Twamley) McLaughlin of MN. the late Wayne Twamley, Bonnie(Twamley) Mellum, Sharon (Twamley) Merkes. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Alan, Ethan, Benjamin, Nicole, Emilee, Madison, Thomas, Peter, Justin, Maya and Brian. Great grandfather to Michael, Alan, Kya and Adam. Rob loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, the outdoors, reading and following sports. A Private Funeral Service will be held at a later date.
