Hollywood, FL: E. Phyllis (Levesque) LaPorte-Ardullah, age 85, died January 15, 2012 at her home in Hollywood, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late David Ardullah and also the late Arthur L. LaPorte.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Philip A. Levesque and the late Eleanor (Roache) Levesque Ankeles. Following the death of her husband Arthur, Phyllis and her son Michael moved to Hollywood from Salem in 1953. She worked as an accountant for an insurance agency in Hollywood until her retirement. Following her retirement she occupied her time with several part time jobs, reading, sewing and quilting.
She is survived by 2 sisters, Alice C. Audet of Marblehead, Suzanne M. Levesque of Salem and a brother Paul P. Levesque of Salem. She also leaves several nieces and a nephew, Adele Audet of Revere, Philip Audet and his wife Diane of Austin, TX, Andrea Belanger and her husband Michael of Beverly, Alissa O’Meara and her husband Michael of Sherrill’s Fort, NC, as well as several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her son Michael P. LaPorte.
Her memorial mass is being planned for either the end of March or the beginning of April, with a committal service in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem following. A complete obituary will appear in the Salem News as well as this website as we near the date of her services.
