Obituary

Rubitsky, Harry, 85 years of age of Winthrop on Monday, January 30, 2012. Born in Boston and resident of Winthrop for 60 years. Attended Boston Public Roxbury High School, Graduate of Mass College of Pharmacy. Worked as a Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical sales, also attended Hebrew College for Cantorial Studies until he was selected for Military Service during WWII. Past President and member of Tifereth Israel of Winthrop, Past President of B’Nai Brith Winthrop. Member of the Jewish War Veterans. Recognized for his superior sales performance. Manager of a little league team in Winthrop, Member of Tifereth Israel of Winthrop Choir, enjoyed photography.

Harry is the beloved husband of Ida (Bodkins) Rubitsky. Devoted father of Marlene Moyer and husband Bruce, David Rubitsky and wife Debra, Gloria Himmelstein, Rachel Alix and husband Roland and the late Frederick Rubitsky. Dear brother of Dr. Hy Roberts and Esther Sokol. Dear nephew of Ruth Stein. Loving grandfather of Ilana, Shira, Davita, Jason, Shoshana, Lilly, Edina and Andrew. Services at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Avenue, Cary Sq., Chelsea on Wednesday, Feb. 1st at 11AM. Interment in Everett. Memorial Observance to be held Wednesday from 2-6PM, 7-9PM and Thursday 7-9PM at the home of David Rubitsky, Saturday 7-9, Sunday 2-4 and Monday 2-4, 7-9PM at the home of Marlene Moyer.
